Things that resemble middle school dances and other regressions

I am such a kid. Continuously shocking people when I tell them how old I actually am, which reminds me of the saying "A baby shark is still a shark." True that home  skillet. I think the theme of this week was not feeling like doing anything (but actually doing everything). Another big theme was free food, which I am a big fan of.

Anyways, here is a short (short is relative) list of things I forgot to blog about and did this week:
- Ate some (free) candy like a kindergartener.
- Got free dinner from Schnippers. Their salads are mad delicious.
- Attended a #SMW talk at the Bloomberg building called Innovate or Die. It was really interesting and I am happy I went. The Bloomberg building is also really beautiful- plus there was tons of free food (which I am always a fan of).
- Ate more food with friends, like my friend Gabbie who went to Iceland to see the Northern Lights for the long weekend (lol- what?).
- Participated in a marketing experiment (required for class) that confirmed my belief that it was going to be a waste of time.
- Met with people for group projects- since when do I have group projects for school? I must be in Kindergarten.
- Went to a PR panel talk. Interesting, but way way way too long.
- Went to lunch at the Red Lobster in Times Square. It was LOL. Big time. The food was decent. They were RIDICULOUSLY sloooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww, though.
- Did a little more coding. I now know how to make ordered lists, put up links and pictures, and change fonts/ backgrounds/ colors/ etc. of text. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
- Ate some more food on an epic friday night. I went with Lilliana to Angelica Kitchen and we both got Wee Dragon Bargains (bread, spread, soup, and a huge plate of colorful, healthy stuff). Two businessmen sitting next to us complimented our ordering skills. It was special. Anyways, we went to Spot for dessert and waited forever! I got the Green Tea Lava Cake and Lilliana got this Yuzu Eskimo(?) thing that was also mad delish. Good life choices, but WAY too much food for one night. Good stuff.
- Hung out with Michelle and met her brother who has a very similar personality. Very funny.
- Violet Ball. I dressed up and looked cute, but actually, it felt like a middle school dance (not that I actually had middle school dances). However, the food was good and I was with friends- so these factors made it worth it. Plus, I got to dance in Bobst (my school's library). Pretty cool- not going to lie.
- PURIM PARTY! I went to Jess's and it was so fun! I hadn't seen her in a while and I really liked her friends. Hoping to repeat that soon :)
- Skated! Ok, so it was only once this week, but I am going to step up my game. The session was pretty crowded, but I liked that there were people skating and coaching that I either knew or was friends with. Overall, it was really nice. I also skated ok overall, so I am happy with it.
- FREE BRUNCH at the Law School with Rachel and her friend Alex. The food was pretty good and the inside of the Law School was beautiful- really happy I went. It was a little too school-spirity for my taste, though.
- Stuff at work is still good. Still loving what I am doing and feels good. Speaking of which, my mood has been really good lately, but then again I feel like I have no reason to be upset right now.

Might watch the Oscars if I have time tonight. Otherwise, this week is going to be good but crazy busy like every other week of my life. Starting to do Two Birds, One Stone this week, so looking forward to volunteering :) Everything is good right now and it has been so far throughout the semester, so right now, I am just hoping the good stuff will last.

A domani ragazzi!

In case you missed it, today has to do with presidents

Since it is President's Day, I don't have class. That means I spent this whole extended weekend eating food with friends and writing papers (ew, papers....). However, I did also watch Wreck it Ralph with Michelle and a little bit of tv- yay free time! I also skated for once after a while at City Ice and it was nice to practice after so long. I need to get to the rink more, but the trains are always messed up and it took me about an hour to get there! Took my first coding class, saw my cousins Michael, Donna, and Jonathan, and got brunch on Sunday. Being in Westchester on Saturday meant I could go to Stew Leonards, and I did. It was awesome and I got my rice cake things. They are delicious. More class and work this week, some food with friends, and Violet Ball this Saturday!

Good stuff. A domani ragazzi!

The latest and greatest in the Life and Times

Some updates on things I have done since I last wrote:
- Eaten meals with friends (I have friends!)
- Volunteered at Fashion Decoded Hackathon at Alley NYC
- Got some clothes at Topshop, Uniqlo, and Lululemon (I needed stuff! I swear!)
- Went to two Super Bowl shin dig things, ate food, contemplated the meaning of Beyonce
- Ate some more food with some more friends (I have friends!)
- Went to class
- Did some homework. Then re-did some homework. Then did some more and felt merp about it.
- Went to this crazy place called the Living Theatre with my homeboy Jon and saw people doing parkour and ribbon dancing(?) in the middle of a club/bar/theater/warehouse/hangout thing place
- Wrote an article on my friend, Rachel Monfre, who is fabulous and lives next door to me
- Felt disappointed by how my NYU Local piece was edited/ came out
- Went to 2 WSN meetings (and it felt so right!)
- Interned a little more at MTV (Yeah- I really do like it so far. And no, they aren't paying me to write that)
- Met with my RA to talk about life. She seems nice
- Went to Shabbat dinner with the amazing Daniel Jacoby. What a beautiful soul. He introduced me to his friends and I got free food. Good deal.
- Tried and (seem to have) failed to schmooze my way into a team for my Entrepreneurship class- will keep my two readers in Russia updated about this
- Started my internship portfolio
- Tried to go to the gym everyday with some success. Yeah- that was vague for a reason.
- Celebrated Chinese New Year with the roommates by getting food at Joe's Shanghai and eating ice cream from Chinatown Ice Cream Factory in the cold. My fingers froze for that derishous Zen Butter goodness (toasted sesame seed and peanut butter- you are jealous right now)
- Decided not to get tested for Celiac and just not eat gluten instead because blood work just isn't my thing
- Got free cupcakes on more than one occasion this past week. And no, I am not supposed to eat their glutteny-ness. They were free.
- Fist bumped some guy on the subway-twice- because he could and I was too weirded out to say no
- Went to the Lela Rose NYFW show today with the wonderful photographer Rachel Kaplan (and also threw in some street style coverage there). Yeah, that link is to my article!

I feel like I am forgetting some things, but basically I have been pretty busy, but I like everything I am doing, so that is a good thing :)

Hopefully, I will have more time to do WSN stuff and I am starting Codeacademy on Friday, so hopefully that will go well!!!

A domani ragazzi :)
